Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know to get started with MCV.

What services do you offer?

We offer nursing assistant care (per medical order or care plan), personal support (PAB), housekeeping, deep cleaning, companionship and respite, for people of all ages.

Do you only serve elderly clients?

No, we serve everyone: seniors, families with young children, new parents, people recovering from surgery, and anyone who needs professional care or a well-kept home.

What languages do you speak?

Our team fluently speaks Creole, French and English, to ensure clear and comfortable communication with every family.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Montréal-Est, Anjou, Saint-Léonard, Pointe-aux-Trembles and Rivière-des-Prairies. Contact us to confirm coverage for your area.

How quickly can service begin?

It depends on the service, the schedule you need and our availability when you call. We will tell you in that first conversation what we can offer, and we confirm a start date with you: we would rather not announce a timeline we could not keep. If your situation is urgent, tell us and we will see what is possible.

Can I change my schedule or services?

Yes. You can adjust your care plan, hours or services at any time by contacting us. We're flexible and responsive.

Are your caregivers qualified and insured?

Our co-founder and nursing assistant, Marlie, is a member in good standing of the OIIAQ (permit no. 89224): that membership is hers personally, not the agency's. Our personal support workers work according to their training and scope of practice. MCV carries professional liability insurance and screens the people it sends into your home.

What is deep cleaning, and how does it differ from housekeeping?

A regular housekeeping visit covers everyday upkeep: surfaces, kitchen, bathroom, floors, bins and light tidying. Deep cleaning goes further (inside appliances, windows, baseboards, behind furniture) and is quoted separately. Laundry, groceries and meal preparation are a separate service, home help. See what a visit includes.

Is there a contract or minimum commitment?

No long-term contract is required. You can start with a short trial period and adjust or cancel services with reasonable notice.

How does billing work for the tax credit?

Each invoice shows the NEQ, service type, period and hours, to meet the home support tax credit requirements. Care and housekeeping are always invoiced separately.
